Meridium Announces Opening of European Office in Walldorf

Roanoke, Virginia – Meridium Inc., the leader in asset performance management (APM) software and consulting solutions, today announced the opening of its newest office in Walldorf, Germany. "The new office in Germany, located in the Partner Port next to SAP’s headquarters, reflects our recent success and continued commitment to our European customers. The decision to extend our presence in this region is consistent with our plans for international growth and the desire to establish a closer, more efficient presence to the markets that we serve,” said Bonz Hart, President and CEO, Meridium. Also contributing to the need for an office to serve this region was Meridium’s strong alliance with SAP. (Meridium’s industry-leading RCMOTM solution is SAP xApps-Certified and is the only reliability centered maintenance solution developed in cooperation with SAP and built completely on SAP’s NetWeaver architecture.) The team at the Meridium European office is led by Managing Directors Matthias Wobbe and Volker Enders, both formerly of SAP. With more than 20 years of SAP experience, Mr. Wobbe was most recently a global Product Manager for SAP’s Enterprise Asset Management solution. He has a strong background in consulting and training on SAP’s Maintenance and Material Management solutions. Prior to that, he worked on the development team of SAP’s Maintenance Management solution as a developer. He started his career at SAP in 1986 as a Quality Manager. Volker Enders is also a Managing Director in Meridium’s newly opened office in Europe. Mr. Enders joins Meridium from SAP Germany, where he was most recently responsible for business development in the utilities, waste and telecommunications consulting division. Prior to this, he was a managing partner and founder of an SAP consulting firm for 14 years, where he was responsible for sales and finance and was the alliance manager for SAP. He has consulting experience in more than 25 utilities in Central Europe. From 1988-1990, as an employee of Arthur Andersen, Mr. Enders developed the SAP R/2 solution RIVA (today SAP for Utilities, especially SAP R/3 IS-U/CCS). With more than 40 years of combined SAP experience, the addition of Mr. Wobbe and Mr. Enders enhances the ability of Meridium to meet the needs of process and manufacturing companies for APM solutions in this important and growing marketplace.
