Meridium’s RCMO™ v1.1 is now SAP® xApps™ Certified

Roanoke, VA, USA – Meridium Inc., the leader in asset performance management (APM) software solutions, is pleased to announce that RCMO™ v1.1 is now an “SAP® xApps™ Certified – Powered by SAP NetWeaver®” solution. All SAP xApps Certified applications undergo a rigorous testing procedure administered by SAP to ensure performance and conformance to SAP standards. Composite applications, or SAP xApps, are a new, elite class of SAP integrated software that reuse, integrate, and orchestrate functionalities from existing applications in the context of an enterprise services architecture. A composite application provides new application functionality over and above simple integration and supports analysis followed by action to enable the execution of business processes from start to finish. Building upon RCMO's Powered by NetWeaver certification, the SAP xApps certified status is a further step toward aligning Meridium with SAP's architectural vision. "RCMO™ has generated tremendous interest in the SAP customer base,” according to Hans Joachim Lockermann, SAP Director of EAM Solution Management. “SAP customers who have seen the RCMO solution are impressed with the ease of use and seamless integration with SAP Service and Asset Management™. RCMO is a Reliability Centered Maintenance and Optimization solution designed to operate exclusively with the SAP® Service and Asset Management™ solution. The product was co-developed by SAP and Meridium, and was released to Ramp Up customers in December 2005. Ramp-Up customers include TransAlta, Queensland Alumina Ltd, Iluka, and PT Excel. The most recent version of RCMO, v1.1, includes extended reporting capabilities, integration with SAP® NetWeaver Business Intelligence and support for Web Services integration with mySAPTM Enterprise Resource Planning. SAP and Meridium are addressing the typical challenges of RCM initiatives with RCMOTM, which greatly simplifies the process of implementing RCM recommendations in SAP, and makes it easy to measure performance and make adjustments over time. - Provides the framework for users to define maintenance strategies based upon RCM and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) principles.
